No analytics
This site does not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service. The only cookies used here are the advertising cookies described above, plus small technical cookies your browser may need for basic functions.
What is collected
If you email us. We receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply. We do not share them with anyone, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Server access logs. Like almost every website, the hosting company that runs this site records basic technical information about each visit — IP address, browser type, date and time, and the page requested. These logs are kept by the hosting provider for security and maintenance. They are not used to build a profile of you.
Advertising cookies. These are set and read by Google and its partners, as described above. We do not see them, and we receive no personal data from them — only anonymous reports on how many ads were shown.
What is not collected
We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or payment information. There is nothing to buy here.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over your personal data — for example, to ask what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland (GDPR). You may ask for access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data, and you may withdraw your consent to advertising cookies at any time.
- California (CCPA/CPRA). You may ask what personal information is collected, and you may opt out of its “sale” or “sharing”. This site does not sell personal information; the cookie-based advertising described above can be controlled with the opt-out links in the Advertising section.

Children
This site is a general-audience site about language and culture. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
